One decision · seven stops
Follow a single memory.
Monday, 10:14. You tell Claude Code one sentence. Scroll to follow it from your terminal to a different tool on a different laptop.
Scroll
Stop 1 · Mon 10:14
It starts as one sentence.
In the middle of a Claude Code session, you settle something that matters.
Stop 2 · Mon 10:14
The brain hears it.
A parser reads the session and stores the decision as an observation in a local SQLite database.
Stop 3 · Tue 02:00
Overnight, it becomes knowledge.
brain dream folds it into a wiki page that gets revised as the project changes.
Stop 4 · Wed 16:40
When it's needed, it rises to the top.
Ask anything near the topic, and relevance plus a record of being helpful put it first.
Stop 5 · Wed 23:00
Before it leaves your machine, it's sealed.
The whole store is packed and encrypted with your age key. The key never leaves your Keychain.
Stop 6 · Wed 23:01
It travels to your private repo.
brain sync uploads one encrypted blob as a GitHub Release asset. No one else's server is involved.
Stop 7 · Fri 11:30
Another laptop. Another tool. Same memory.
Cursor opens with Monday's decision already in its briefing. You didn't repeat yourself.
Sessions live in SQLite. Redis was only for the old job queue.

## Sessions & caching + Sessions live in SQLite (decided Mon 10:14).+ Redis only served the old job queue. It's gone. Postgres stays the system of record.
$ brain recall "cache sessions in redis?"
$ brain restore # on your other laptop
<!-- BRAIN:START --> - Sessions live in SQLite, not Redis (Mon)<!-- BRAIN:END -->
Keeping sessions in SQLite, as decided on Monday. No Redis client needed.
Say it once.
